Rabat – Israeli forces have renewed threats, warning Iranian leaders that they will attack “every successor of Ali Khamenei.”

It also warned it would pursue every person who seeks to appoint a successor for Khamenei, who was killed during an Iranian-US attack on the first day of the war.

The Israeli remarks came after reports suggesting that Ali Khamenei’s second son, Mojtaba, has again emerged as a potential figure to succeed his father.

Mojtaba, according to Al Jazeera, is a highly influential figure within the circle of the supreme leader.

“In recent years, Mojtaba Khamenei has increasingly been touted as a top potential replacement for his father,” Al Jazeera said.

The news outlet suggested that if Mojtaba does not ascend to power after his father’s killing, it could reflect that factions within Iran’s establishment retain significant power.

“[It] could indicate that the government has little desire to agree to a deal or negotiations in the short term,” the same news outlet said.

The war between Israel, the US, and Iran has been expanding to reach several countries, including Lebanon, which has been under Israeli attacks.

Al Jazeera reported today that Israel killed at least 19 people, including children, in an attack on a building in Sir Gharbiyeh.

Reports today said Israel was able to hit Iranian oil facilities for the first time since the war started.

The attacks also killed at least four people. The Iranian death toll has reached over 1,300 people since Israel and the US launched their strikes. The number of people killed in Lebanon during the nine days of war has reached at least 300.

Meanwhile, Gulf countries continue to report damage and casualties due to Iranian attacks.

Bahrain said the latest Iranian attacks on the country damaged a water desalination plant. It reported that three people were injured during the attack.

“The Iranian aggression randomly bombs civilian targets and causes material damage to a water desalination plant following an attack by a drone,” the Ministry of the Interior said in a statement.
