Weather Office Forecasts Strong Winds on Thursday in Morocco

Morocco has been experiencing rainfall and cold weather compared to the past few weeks.

Weather Office Forecasts Strong Winds on Thursday in Morocco

Rabat – Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts strong winds accompanied by blowing sand on Thursday in several provinces.

The weather authority said winds of between 70 and 80 kilometres per hour (km/h) are expected from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

The provinces that will be affected by the weather include Midelt, Boulemane, Figuig, Jerada, and Taourirt.

The weather comes amid rainfall across several regions this week, including Rabat.

Yesterday, the weather office in Morocco forecasted strong thunderstorms for Wednesday in several provinces.

The weather forecast concerned  Northern Morocco, including M’diq-Fnideq, Tangier-Assilah, Ouezzane, Al Hoceima as well as Tetouan, Chfchaouen, Fahs-Anjra, and Larache, among others.

The same weather is also affecting Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Taouante, and other nearby regions like Fez, Meknes, El Hajeb, Ifrane, and Sidi Slimane, Khemisset, Sidi Kacem, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Khenifra, and Al Haouz.

The forecasts also expect blowing sand and strong winds from 12 p.m. today to 9 p.m. in Boulemnae, Azilal, Ouarzazate, Midelt, and Tinghir.
