Rabat – Morocco’s National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) has issued a warning about a fake website that is pretending to be an official platform to mislead and scam users.
The agency said the suspicious website uses a link that imitates NARSA’s name and visual identity. The platform falsely presents itself as an official service, even though it is not part of NARSA’s digital platforms, according to the agency.
NARSA stated that the website has no connection to the agency and does not have any official authorization to provide services. It warned that the platform appears to be designed to collect users’ personal and sensitive data through fraudulent methods, particularly phishing.
The agency called on citizens and users to remain highly cautious when dealing with such suspicious links. It advised people not to click on them and to always verify official websites through trusted addresses, including www.narsa.ma and https://perminou.narsa.gov.ma.
NARSA also urged users not to share personal information, banking details, or passwords on unknown or unverified websites, encouraging the public to report any suspicious activity related to such scams to the relevant authorities immediately.
The warning comes as several national agencies and institutions in Morocco have recently issued similar alerts.
Earlier this month, the Ministry of Justice alerted citizens about a fraudulent website pretending to be the official platform for paying traffic fines.
The SMS scam falsely tells people their vehicle qualifies for a fine exemption and warns that if they don’t pay by a certain deadline, they will have to pay the full fine plus extra fees.
Bank Al-Maghrib, Morocco’s central bank, has also warned the public about fraud attempts targeting users via text messages and phone calls.
