Casablanca — The Tanger Med Group closed 2025 with a consolidated gross turnover of MAD 13 billion ($1.40 billion), up 16% compared to 2024, according to the company’s statement. The results point to steady growth across its four core activities: ports, logistics, industry, and services.

At the center of this performance is the Tanger Med port complex, which the group manages. The platform confirmed its position as the leading port in the Mediterranean and Africa, ranking 17th globally in container traffic based on the latest Alphaliner data. In 2025, it crossed a new milestone, handling more than 11 million containers measured in EVP. That threshold had been in sight for years. It is now clearly behind.

The group’s footprint goes beyond Tanger Med itself. Through its stake in Marsa Maroc, it operates 35 specialized terminals across 21 ports. Those terminals handled 67 million tons of cargo in 2025, a 6% increase year on year. Combined with the activity of Tanger Med Port Authority, the group’s total volume reached 209 million tons of goods and 12.42 million containers.

Industry is another pillar of the model. The group develops and manages 3,000 hectares of economic zones hosting more than 1,500 companies. These firms operate across sectors like automotive, aeronautics, textiles, agribusiness, and logistics. In 2025, those zones generated a total business volume of MAD 188 billion ($20.29 billion) and supported 145,000 jobs.

By surpassing 11 million containers in 2025, the Tanger Med Group has secured its position as the 17th largest container port globally, now operating alongside hubs like Hamburg and Antwerp. Its total traffic reached 209 million tons, placing Morocco at the center of major East-West and North-South trade routes.

With MAD 13 billion ($1.40 billion) in revenue and sustained growth across all segments, Tanger Med is established, with the ranking, volumes, and industrial base to compete directly with leading global gateways.
