Rabat – Union Touarga Sport have been crowned champions of Morocco for the 2025-2026 futsal season, completing a rise that few could have predicted at the start of the year.
This title is impressive because of how quickly it came. This was their first-ever season in the top division, and instead of just acclimating to this new elevated level, they ended up dominating the entire league.
They wrapped up the title with two games still left to play after putting together an incredible season.
A season they controlled from start to finish
Union Touarga finished the campaign with 71 points, built on an outstanding record of 22 wins, 5 draws and just 1 defeat. That level of consistency is rare.
From early in the season, they looked confident and well-organized, and as the weeks went on, they only got stronger.
A notable moment in their season came in March, when the club made a coaching change, bringing in Mimoun Mokhtari. That decision helped steady the team and added fresh energy at exactly the right time.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) officially congratulated the club, including just how quickly they’ve climbed the ladder in Moroccan futsal.
As champions, Union Touarga will now represent Morocco in upcoming continental competitions, where they’ll get a new test at a higher level.
Their success also comes at a time when Moroccan futsal is on the rise globally, with the country ranked among the top nations in the sport and preparing to host the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) later in the year.
