Achraf Hakimi has once again been recognized as the best right-back in French football, according to The French Professional Footballers’ Union (UNFP).
The Morocco international was officially named to the UNFP Ligue 1 Team of the Season for the 2025-2026 campaign during an awards ceremony held on Monday night. This selection marks the fourth year in a row that Hakimi has featured in the league’s ideal XI since joining Paris Saint-Germain.
Hakimi’s inclusion in the Team of the Season comes alongside four other PSG teammates, including Vitinha and Ousmane Dembélé.Â
The recognition follows a historic period for the 27-year-old defender. Beyond his club success, Hakimi had an epic 12 months leading the Moroccan national team to victory in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. His ability to maintain an impressive season for both his club and the Moroccan national team has strengthened his reputation as the most impactful right-backs in world football.
The UNFP awards are voted on by the players themselves, making the honor a significant sign of respect from Hakimi’s peers across the league. As PSG seeks to secure the second Champions League title in a row, Hakimi remains an important joker card to the French club, and a symbol of Moroccan excellence on the European stage.
