Rabat – Lewandowski won a major court battle on Tuesday after his former agent falsely accused him of having links to organized crime.
The Warsaw District Court found Robert Lewandowski’s former agent, Cezary Kucharski, guilty of defamation and slander.
According to Marca, citing Polish media, Kucharski used YouTube interviews and social media to falsely accuse the striker and his lawyer, Tomasz Siemiątkowski, of having ties to organized crime.
The judges ruled that the agent knew exactly how damaging his words would be when he made up the claims about a criminal group.
The 37-year-old player and his lawyer argued that these lies badly damaged the player’s reputation and the lawyer’s professional honor.
On top of the criminal accusations, the ex-agent also launched personal attacks against the football star. Kucharski called the former Bayern Munich striker a “bad person without empathy” and an arrogant person who “thinks he’s a king.”
He even called Lewandowski a “coward” and “childish,” claiming the striker refused to play in the English Premier League simply because he was afraid that he wouldn’t stand out.
This court decision is just the latest chapter in the story of a years-long feud that peaked in 2020, when Lewandowski sued his former agent for blackmail after Kucharski allegedly demanded 20 million euros to keep quiet about supposed tax issues.
The court ordered the agent to pay all legal costs, a fine of around €20,000, and a €25,000 donation to charity. However, Kucharski announced he will appeal the decision, stating he is willing to fight Lewandowski in court “for a decade.”
