Rabat – Interest is growing around Moroccan winger Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, but Manchester United are not ready to rush.

The English club has reportedly been closely monitoring the Real Betis attacker ahead of the summer transfer window, with reports suggesting that United have already made initial enquiries about the player. However, the club reportedly wants to wait before taking the next step.

Their plan is to watch Ezzalzouli on the biggest stage first. With the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching, United want to evaluate the Moroccan international during the tournament before definitively deciding whether to push seriously for a move. The World Cup could become the final test before making any major investment.

Speaking to The United Stand, journalist Ben Jacobs claimed that Manchester United have been looking at Real Betis winger Abde Ezzalzouli recently. They reportedly “really like” the left-sided attacker, who has taken his game to another level this season.

That caution is understandable considering Ezzalzouli’s value continues to rise.

The 24-year-old is enjoying what many consider the strongest season of his career with Real Betis. His pace, dribbling and impact on the team have turned him into one of the most exciting attacking players in Spain, attracting attention from several clubs across Europe.

Manchester United are far from alone. Newcastle and other Premier League clubs are also keeping an eye on the Moroccan winger, and his former club, Barcelona, still reportedly retain a financial interest tied to any future transfer.

Betis right now are in a comfortable position. Ezzalzouli remains under contract until 2029, and reports around Spain continue to place his release clause at around €60 million.

For now, there is interest, but not a full offensive. Manchester United seem willing to wait a little longer and let the World Cup provide more answers. If Ezzalzouli performs well with Morocco this summer, his market value and the race for his signature could look very different a few weeks from now.
