Rabat – Morocco’s education authorities have laid out a detailed schedule for end-of-year exams and assessments, offering students, teachers, and families a clearer view of the final stretch of the 2025-2026 school year.
In a circular sent to regional academies, the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports fixed key dates for continuous assessment tests and national exams, while also setting the timeline for closing the academic year in both public and private schools.
The plan comes as part of the broader education reform roadmap for 2022-2026, which seeks to improve learning outcomes and ensure that students acquire core skills at every stage of their schooling.
Final assessments set for mid-June
The last round of continuous assessment tests will take place between June 16 and June 20 across all levels. This period marks a decisive moment for students, as these grades contribute directly to final results.
For primary school students, local unified exams for the Certificate of Primary Studies will take place on June 26 and 27. Meanwhile, classes for other levels will continue until the end of the month.
At the lower secondary level, students will sit the regional unified exam for the preparatory certificate on June 24 and 25, with lessons maintained until late June.
Structured timeline for high school students
High school students face a tightly scheduled exam season. Continuous assessment concludes in the same mid-June window, with teachers required to submit final marks by June 27.
Common core students will attend classes until June 30. Class councils will meet on July 2 and 3 to review results and determine academic orientation, with outcomes announced on July 4.
First-year baccalaureate students will take their regional exams on June 1 and 2, followed by resit exams on June 29 and 30. Final results will be released on July 8 after deliberations.
For second-year baccalaureate candidates, the calendar began earlier. Teachers must submit continuous assessment marks by May 23. The national exam will run from June 4 to June 6, with results expected on June 17. A make-up session is scheduled for July 2 and 4, with final results set for July 11.
Focus on continuity and oversight
The ministry called for strict respect for teaching time to ensure that all lessons are completed. School services such as canteens and transportation will remain available until the official end of the academic year.
Authorities will also set up regional and provincial committees to track the rollout of these measures. These bodies will report back to central administration to ensure that the exam period unfolds under proper conditions.
Officials present the exam calendar as more than a technical schedule. It reflects a broader effort to bring consistency and clarity to the education system at a moment that often shapes the academic path of thousands of Moroccan students.
