Mohamed Ouahbi: ‘Winning Doesn’t Mean We Will Always Play the Same Way’

"Every match is different, so we won't always play the same way, but our goal is to establish clear principles. When we lose possession, our immediate reaction must be to win the ball back," Ouahbi said in yesterday’s post-match press conference.

Rabat – Morocco’s national team coach Mohammed Ouahbi, when asked about the national team’s performance, said that he is satisfied with the performance, but they will not always play in the same way.

In the post-match press conference, Ouahbi said: “We are satisfied because there are no injuries, and because we won the match. However, that does not mean we will always play in the same way.”

“There are some adjustments that need to be made and things that need to be corrected. The goal is to be ready by June 13, God willing, against Brazil,”he added.

Ouahbi emphasized that squad rotation is key to his strategy, noting that there is no hierarchy between starters and substitutes. He stressed that the entire roster is aligned with this approach as they continue their intensive preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Following the third consecutive victory of the Moroccan national team under Ouahbi, it is clear that he is implementing a distinct vision for the national team. Ahead of the World Cup, his approach is yielding results through tactical stability and higher efficiency.
