Rabat – Morocco’s 4-0 win over Madagascar in yesterday’s World Cup warm-up match has caught the attention of Brazilian media ahead of the Atlas Lions’ opening game against Brazil at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Brazilian sports outlets highlighted Morocco’s dominant display after the Atlas Lions controlled the friendly from start to finish in Rabat.

Brazilian magazine Terra focused on Morocco’s tactical discipline and ability to dominate despite squad rotation. The outlet noted that coach Mohamed Ouahbi used a mixed lineup and made several changes, but Morocco still imposed its style of play and controlled possession for most of the match.

ESPN Brasil pointed to Morocco’s continued positive form during its World Cup preparations, with particular praise for Ismael Saibari stating, “Watch out for him, Ancelotti.”

The PSV midfielder scored twice against Madagascar and was widely viewed as the standout performer.

Brazilian outlet ge Globo also looked at the result through the lens of Brazil’s upcoming World Cup challenge. The platform described Morocco’s victory as another positive sign for a team arriving at the tournament with momentum after strong preparation results.

ge Globo also shed light on the missed opportunities of the Moroccan national team that prevented it from securing a more crushing outcome in front of Madagascar yesterday.

Morocco defeated Madagascar 4-0 thanks to a brace from Saibari, followed by goals from Soufiane Rahimi and Ayoub El Kaabi. The performance came after another successful warm-up result and reinforced the team’s growing confidence before traveling to North America.

The Atlas Lions are expected to play against Norway in their final preparation match before their first match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Brazil on June 13.
