Casablanca — The Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity will launch the 2026 edition of Operation Marhaba on Wednesday, June 10. The annual initiative is designed to support Moroccans residing abroad as they travel to and from the Kingdom during the summer period.

According to the Foundation, the full reception system will become operational at midnight across Morocco, France, Spain and Italy. The operation is carried out in coordination with national stakeholders and remains under the effective presidency of King Mohammed VI.

This year’s edition builds on the system introduced during the previous campaign and relies on a network of 26 reception centers located along the main transit routes used by members of the Moroccan diaspora.

In Morocco, 20 reception sites have been set up. These are located at the ports of Tanger Med, Tanger Ville, Al Hoceima and Nador Bni Nsar, as well as at airports in Casablanca, Rabat, Oujda, Nador, Agadir, Fez, Marrakech, Tangier, Laayoune and Dakhla. Additional facilities are available at the Mediterranean, Jebha, Tazaghine and Smir M’Diq rest areas, and at the border crossings of Bab Sebta and Mellila.

Six more Marhaba centers will operate in Europe, serving travelers through the ports of Genoa in Italy, Sète and Marseille in France, and Motril, Almeria and Algeciras in Spain.

The operation will run until September 15. Throughout that period, social assistance and medical services will be available at all reception sites to support travelers during both arrival and return journeys.

A total of nearly 1,400 people, including Foundation teams, social workers, doctors, paramedical staff and volunteers, have been deployed as part of the operation.

The assistance network is supported by a central coordination office based in Rabat, which oversees field operations, coordinates responses with partner institutions and manages the Marhaba telephone assistance service. The hotline will be available around the clock, seven days a week, throughout the duration of the campaign.
