Rabat – Manchester United said today that its defender Noussair Mazraoui could be available for Morocco vs Brazil in the 2026 FIFA World Cup game on Saturday.
The club recalled that Mazraoui returned to training after his shoulder injury, which he sustained during the friendly game against Norway.
“Nous has been carefully assessed by his nation’s medical team and will be hoping he can be available for a key fixture in Group C at the MetLife Stadium on Saturday night,” the club wrote.
Manchester United acknowledged that Mazraoui’s possible inclusion is good news, especially amid the confirmed absence of Nayef Aguerd and Abdessamad Ezzalzouli.
FIFA announced that Aguerd and Ezzalzouli were replaced by Marwane Saadane and Amine Sbai.
“Mazraoui has been retained, and we can hopefully look forward to seeing him in North America, as Mohamed Ouahbi’s men look to progress out of a group that also contains Scotland and Haiti,” the club concluded.
The Atlas Lions enter as favorites or among the top contenders for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
However, observers are concerned following injuries that could shift head coach Mohamed Ouahbi’s whole plan for the upcoming tournament.
The new coach, who took over Walid Regragui’s position, promised his squad would do its best to achieve great things.

Morocco’s game against Brazil is on June 13 at 11 p.m. Moroccan time.
Morocco’s fixtures as part of Group C also include a clash against Scotland on June 19 and Haiti on June 24.
