Agadir – AXA Crédit Maroc has officially become Stellantis Salaf Morocco, making the automotive group expand to deliver financial services in the country.

The move established Stellantis’ own financing entity in Morocco and strengthened its strategy to offer integrated mobility solutions that combine vehicle financing, insurance, and related services.

In a statement announcing the rebranding, Stellantis Salaf Morocco said it aims to provide financing solutions dedicated to vehicles from the group’s brands, while also offering complementary services such as insurance and maintenance contracts through Stellantis’ sales network across Morocco.

The company noted that it will continue to provide personal loan products alongside its automotive financing activities.

Stellantis is establishing its ‘own financing entity in Morocco’s rapidly growing market’

Existing loans contracted under AXA Crédit Maroc will remain unchanged and continue to be managed under the same contractual conditions, with no impact on customers.

Integrating financial services into its Moroccan operations will allow Stellantis to consolidate an ecosystem spanning engineering, manufacturing, commerce, services, and finance, while strengthening its ability to respond to evolving market demands, the company explained.

It added that the transformation follows the acquisition of an 80% stake in AXA Crédit Maroc by FIDIS SpA, Stellantis’ financial services arm, which was completed in September 2025.

At the time, the two groups also entered into a strategic partnership for insurance distribution, enabling AXA Crédit to continue offering AXA insurance products to both existing and future customers.

Commenting on the acquisition last year, Andrea Faina said the operation would enable Stellantis to establish its own financing platform in Morocco, which he described as a rapidly growing market.

“By acquiring a majority stake in AXA Credit, Stellantis is establishing its own financing entity in Morocco, a rapidly growing market,” Faina said at the time. He added that the partnership with AXA Assurance Maroc would provide customers with an integrated offering combining vehicle purchases, financing services, and insurance.
