Rabat – Tonight, Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia will face off for survival at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with both controlling their own destiny to reach the knockout rounds.

Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde will play tonight at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, at 1 a.m. Moroccan time, with some sports-focused websites predicting Blue Sharks or Tubaroes Azuis to win the game against the Saudi Green Falcons.

Opta Analyst sees Cabo Verde with a chance of 38% to win the game compared to 35.8% for Saudi Arabia, reflecting a small margin between the two.

Saudi Arabia did not secure a win in this World Cup. They drew 1-1 against Uruguay and lost to Spain with a heavy 4-0.

Cabo Verde, meanwhile, showed strong resilience, especially against Spain, with which they secured a goalless draw against Lamine Yamal’s lineup.

They also finished a 2-2 draw with Uruguay, drawing attention and earning praise across the football world.

beIN Sports will air the game alongside SuperSport, TVRI Sport, and SABC, among others.

For lineups, Cabo Verde is expected to deploy Vozinha in goal, given his spectacular performances throughout the game, making significant efforts to save Cabo Verde’s net.

Cabo Verde is also expected to deploy J.Paulo, S. Moreira, R.Lopes, Disney Borges, R. Mendes, J. Monteiro, D. Duarte, K.Lenini, G. Rodrigues, and G. Benchimol.

For Saudi Arabia’s starting XI, it could include A. Al Amri, M. Al Owais, M. Al-Harbi, A. Lajami, H. Al Tambakti, S. Abdulhamid, M. Abu Al Shamat, S. Al-Dawsari, M.Kanno, N. Al-Dawsari, and Al-Buraikan.
