Casablanca – Maghreb of Fes announced the appointment of Portuguese coach Rui Almeida as the club’s new head coach on a one-year contract.
Almeida replaces Spanish coach Pablo Franco, whose departure was confirmed on Tuesday after guiding the club to the 2025-26 Botola Pro title, MAS indicated in a statement on Thursday.
The Moroccan champions’ signing of Rui Almeida, the former coach of Difaa Hassani El Jadida, comes as the club seeks to open a new chapter at the technical level.
MAS’s statement added that the appointment is part of the club’s ongoing restructuring, following the departure of sporting director Badr El Kaddouri, as the club continues its long-term modernization and development project.
