Rabat – A new weather alert forecasts that hot weather will continue through Thursday, affecting several provinces across Morocco.
The orange-level weather alert warns of hot weather, with temperatures reaching up to 47 degrees Celsius in some regions.
From Monday to Wednesday, the provinces of Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Tata, and Zagora will witness temperatures between 44 and 47 degrees.
Essaouira, Driouch, Nador, and Berkane will also experience hot weather, with temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees during the same period.
Temperatures between 40 and 44 degrees will affect the provinces of Sidi Kacem, Khouribga, Settat, El Kalaa Sraghna, Marrakech, and Rehamna from Tuesday to Thursday.
The same weather conditions will affect Jerada, Taourirt, Khemisset, Youssoufia, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Khenifra, Boulemane, Guercif, Oujda-Angad, Taounate, Taza, Ouezzane, Taroudant, and Tinghir.
Meanwhile, temperatures between 40 and 44 will also affect the provinces of Taza, Taroudant, Tinghir, Khouribga, Fquih Ben Salah, Settat, Kelaa Sraghna, Jerada, Oujda-Angad, Taourirt, Beni Mellal, Boulemane and Guercif, especially on Monday.
