Casablanca – The 25-year-old striker is returning to French football after a two-season spell in Portugal. Under contract with Braga until 2029, he had a successful first season, scoring seven goals in 33 league matches and making several Europa League appearances. He will be hoping to bounce back after an injury-plagued 2025-2026 season.
El-Ouazzani scored 19 goals in 62 appearances across all competitions throughout his two years with the Breton club, earning him a transfer to Braga in the summer of 2024.
He played a key role in Morocco’s win of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations in 2023. At the tournament, which was held in Morocco, he scored the extra-time winner against Mali (2-1) in the semi-final. Morocco then went on to beat Egypt 2-1 in the final to secure its first continental title in this category.
Amine El-Ouazzani is the fifth summer signing for the Angers club coached by Alexandre Dujeux.
