Rabat – Wydad Athletic Club’s members rejected the financial report for the 2025–2026 season during the club’s ordinary general assembly on Tuesday.
The report failed to secure the approval of the majority of members present at the meeting, with further details expected following the conclusion of the assembly’s discussions.
The rejection followed earlier criticism over the handling of the report. Presidential candidate Yassine Saadallah had said members did not receive it within the required timeframe to examine its contents before voting.
The assembly’s agenda also includes the election of a new Wydad president following the departure of Hicham Ait Menna and his board.
Yassine Saadallah, Anas Karami and Ibrahim El Asri are competing for the presidency of the Casablanca club.
The election comes during a significant period for Wydad, with the incoming president expected to oversee the club’s administrative and sporting direction for the coming season.
