Rabat – Amal Tiznit earned promotion to the Botola Pro first division for the first time in its history after drawing away against Olympique Dcheira in the second leg of their playoff.Â
After the first leg ended goalless, Amal Tiznit advanced on the away-goals rule, securing a place in the Botola Pro for the 2026-2027 season. The promotion marks the first time the Souss-based club will compete in Morocco’s top flight.Â
The first half ended scoreless before Olympic Dcheira took the lead in the 58th minute through Youssef Khafi, reviving the hosts’ hopes of retaining their place in the top division.
Amal Tiznit responded just eight minutes later when Zakaria Salhi found the equalizer in the 66th minute, a goal that ultimately proved decisive in securing promotion.
Neither side managed to find a winner during the remainder of the match, with the score staying level at 1-1 until the final whistle.
The 1-1 draw sent Amal Tiznit to the Botola Pro for the 2026-27 season, while Olympic Dcheira, promoted only last year, dropped back to the second division after just one season in Morocco’s top flight.Â
