Rabat – Moroccan international Issa Diop is set to continue his career in the Premier League after officially signing with Ipswich Town on a four-year contract, the English club announced on Wednesday.
The Moroccan defender joins Ipswich after spending the past four seasons at Fulham. According to British media reports, the transfer fee is estimated at £8.5 million, approximately $11.4 million.
Speaking after completing the move, Diop expressed his excitement about starting a new chapter with the club.
“I am delighted to take the next step in my career with Ipswich Town. I know the importance of this club and I greatly appreciated the discussions I had before making my decision. I know this is the right place for me,” the defender said in a statement released by his new club.
The move marks a new chapter in Diop’s career as he continues his journey in English football, with the Moroccan international now preparing to make his mark at Ipswich Town.
The Morocco international played a key role in Morocco’s quarter-final journey at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making five appearances for the Atlas Lions. He notably scored a crucial last-minute equalizer against the Netherlands in the round of 32.
