Agadir – UAE-based investment group NG9 Holding and Dar Alsalam Sport Management Company, a subsidiary of Morocco’s Dar Al Salam Group, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore joint investment opportunities in tourism, sports, hospitality, and real estate as Morocco ramps up preparations for co-hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between the two companies, with both sides aiming to develop joint projects and capitalize on investment opportunities expected to emerge from Morocco’s World Cup-related infrastructure and tourism expansion.
According to a joint statement, the partnership will focus on several strategic sectors, including tourism, hospitality, sports, real estate investment, and marine asset and facility management.
The MoU was signed in Abu Dhabi in the presence of senior representatives from both organizations, reflecting what the companies described as a shared commitment to combining expertise, strengthening economic cooperation, and pursuing long-term investment opportunities.
The agreement comes as Morocco prepares to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal. The tournament is expected to accelerate investment in transport infrastructure, sports facilities, hotels, and related services.
‘An important step’
Through the partnership, the two companies intend to leverage their respective expertise to support projects linked to this anticipated growth while expanding their presence across high-potential sectors.
Alaa Al Ali, Group CEO of NG9 Holding, described the agreement as a milestone in the company’s international expansion strategy.
“This MoU marks an important step in NG9 Holding’s international growth strategy, expanding through partnerships with organizations that offer deep sector expertise and a strong market presence,” he said.
Al Ali added that the partnership is expected to pave the way for joint projects while supporting the long-term growth ambitions of both organizations.
Managing Director of Dar Alsalam Sport Management Company, Redouane Bouchemale said the company brings extensive experience in operating sports facilities, developing sports resorts, managing marine facilities, marinas, and superyachts, as well as delivering large-scale sports projects.
“This MoU enables us to combine our operational expertise with NG9 Holding’s investment capabilities to develop innovative projects and capitalize on the opportunities presented by major development initiatives across the region, and in the years ahead,” Bouchemale added.
Under the terms of the MoU, the two companies will exchange expertise, identify commercial and investment opportunities of mutual interest, strengthen coordination with strategic partners and investors, and collaborate on projects aligned with their long-term objectives.
