World Leaders Celebrate King Mohammed VI’s 27th Throne Anniversary

In his speech marking the anniversary, King Mohammed VI renewed Morocco’s commitment to continue strengthening its global position through more development programs.

World Leaders Celebrate King Mohammed VI’s 27th Throne Anniversary

Rabat – A long list of world leaders, heads of state, and governors sent congratulatory messages to King Mohammed VI as today marks the 27th anniversary of the monarch’s accession to the throne.

King Mohammed VI received congratulatory messages from world rulers and leaders, including Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

In his message, the Palestinian president extended fraternal congratulations and wished the monarch continued good health and prosperity for Morocco and its people.

Senegal’s President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye also conveyed his warm congratulations, describing bilateral ties between the two countries as marked by longstanding relations of fraternal friendship and cordial cooperation.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sissi also extended his congratulations to the monarch, commending the strong historical relations between Morocco and Egypt and reaffirming his determination to advance bilateral cooperation across various fields.

Emperor Naruhito of Japan also expressed heartfelt congratulations to the monarch, wishing him happiness and continued prosperity for the Moroccan people.

King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands also congratulated the monarch, as did Sweden’s King Carl XVI, who expressed “sincerest congratulations and best wishes” for the monarch’s health and happiness.

King Charles III of the UK echoed the same sentiment, stressing that he is “deeply encouraged by the strength of our bilateral ties and remains committed to fostering even closer cooperation in the years ahead.”

“As we confront the shared challenges of our time, particularly those related to climate change and the protection of our natural world, I hope our countries can continue working together to find lasting and meaningful solutions,” the British monarch added.

King Philippe of Belgium also emphasized the importance of bilateral relations between Morocco and Belgium, while extending his warm congratulations to the Moroccan monarch and to the entire Royal Family.

Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman also commended bilateral ties between the two countries as he extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to King Mohammed VI.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also wished Morocco continued progress and prosperity and expressed congratulations and best wishes for the monarch’s health and happiness.

King Mohammed VI also received a congratulatory message from Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, extending his warm congratulations and sincere wishes for the monarch’s health and happiness.

Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa echoed the same message, stressing that the celebration is an opportunity to further boost the close ties of cordiality and mutual esteem between the two Kings.

Chinese President XI Jinping also extended his congratulations to King Mohammed VI, noting that China and Morocco share a deep traditional friendship.

He said 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Russia’s Vladimir Putin also conveyed his sincere congratulations to King Mohammed VI, welcoming the traditionally friendly ties between Rabat and Moscow.

Putin said he is confident that relations between the two countries will continue to develop.

German President Frank Walter Steinmeier also  congratulated the monarch, stressing that strategic dialogue held this year between the two countries “once again confirms the strength and excellence of our partnership.”

He described Morocco as a key and reliable partner for Germany in North Africa and the Mediterranean region.

Australia’s Governor-General Sam Mostyn extended her warmest wishes, stating that Australia is proud to celebrate this year the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Morocco, expressing confidence that friendship between the two countries will continue to flourish.

Korean President Lee Jae Myung welcomed the steady progress between the two countries in strengthening cooperative ties. He expressed hope that bilateral relations will continue to deepen through closer exchanges across various sectors.

Mauritania’s Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani also extended his congratulations, reaffirming his country’s determination to work alongside King Mohammed VI to expand cooperation.

King Abdullah II of Jordan also emphasized the importance of bilateral ties between the two countries in his congratulatory message, saying he continues praying for good health for the monarch.

The King also received congratulatory messages from Sierra Leon President Julius Maada Bio, Djibouti President Ismael Omar Guelleh, and Sudan’s General Abdel Fattah Al Burhan Abderlrahman, all of whom reaffirmed their sincere commitment to strengthening relations between their countries and Morocco.

King Mohammed VI delivered a speech on Wednesday, reaffirming Morocco’s commitment to continue working on its development programs.

He also emphasized how Morocco’s stability and security make the country a strong, respected and influential partner.
