Agadir – Morocco’s Cap Holding has finalized the acquisition of a majority stake in Forafric Maroc, strengthening its position in the country’s milling industry while expanding into pasta and couscous production.
Chaired by Chakib Alj, Cap Holding said the acquisition marks a significant step in its growth strategy and reinforces its position as a leading player in Morocco’s milling and semolina sectors.
“Cap Holding, chaired by Chakib Alj, announces the acquisition of a majority stake in Forafric Maroc, an operation which became effective on July 29, 2026,” the company announced.
By taking exclusive control of Forafric Maroc, the group is expanding its footprint across Morocco and enhancing its proximity to customers.
The acquisition also broadens Cap Holding’s brand portfolio by adding the well-established Maymouna and Tria brands to its existing lineup, which includes Moony, Gato, and Ifoulki.
The deal also enables the company to enter the pasta and couscous production segment, further consolidating its role as an integrated agri-industrial company.
According to the company, combining the two businesses is expected to generate industrial, commercial, and logistical synergies through the integration of production capacities, distribution networks, and technical expertise.
Cap Holding said these efficiencies are expected to create additional value and support job creation.
Cap Holding operates across several industries beyond milling. Its activities include grain sourcing and the production of flour and semolina, poultry through the Alf Mabrouk Group, packaging via Multisac, and automotive distribution through M Automotive.
