Casablanca – Raja Casablanca’s pre-season friendly against Valencia CF is reportedly at risk of being called off, according to Spanish outlet La Grada, casting fresh uncertainty over one of the club’s most anticipated preparations for the 2026–27 season.
The report claims Raja’s planned trip to Paterna, where the match was expected to take place, has become increasingly unlikely. Valencia are now said to be exploring alternative opponents for the weekend in case the Moroccan side cannot travel.
The latest development comes just days after Moroccan media reported that Raja were facing administrative complications over travel visas for several players, as well as members of the club’s technical and administrative staff.
Those delays have threatened the team’s scheduled departure to Spain, with club officials racing to secure the necessary documents in time.
The friendly had been viewed as a key test for head coach Nasreddine Nabi, who hoped to assess his squad against top-level European opposition before the start of the new campaign.
Raja have already begun their pre-season preparations, including scheduled a friendly against Chabab Mohammédia, while Nabi continues to integrate the club’s summer signings and evaluate his squad ahead of the new season.
Neither Raja nor Valencia have officially confirmed that the match has been cancelled. However, with Valencia reportedly preparing contingency plans, the fixture’s future remains uncertain.
