Casablanca – Police at the Mohammed V Airport arrested today Moroccan influencer “S.G” while attempting to leave the country.
Moroccan police said the arrest followed an investigation into videos allegedly containing content deemed offensive to public morals.
The case comes after a livestream involving S.G. The video sparked widespread controversy on Moroccan social media. Clips allegedly showing inappropriate scenes circulated online, prompting a wave of criticism toward the influencer.
S.G subsequently addressed the controversy, apologizing to Moroccans and disputing the authenticity of the circulated footage.
She claimed that the images had been manipulated using artificial intelligence and said she intended to pursue legal action against people involved in spreading what she described as misleading content.
According to police, information-monitoring services detected videos considered offensive to public morals on a social media page. A judicial investigation was then opened under instructions from the competent public prosecutor, leading authorities to identify the suspect and arrest her at the airport.
S.G is now subject to a judicial investigation supervised by the public prosecutor, with authorities seeking to establish the circumstances and background of the case.
The influencer has previously faced legal proceedings. She served a two-year prison sentence between 2019 and 2021 after being convicted in the “Hamza Mon Bébé” case on charges including fraud, defamation, invasion of privacy through information systems and blackmail.
