Rabat – Ramzi Boukhiam’s run at Teahupo’o has come to an end in the semifinals, but the Moroccan surfer leaves Tahiti after one of his strongest performances of the 2026 Championship Tour season.

Boukhiam arrived at the Outerknown Tahiti Pro with his sights set on a breakthrough Championship Tour victory and quickly showed why he was considered a serious contender at one of surfing’s most challenging waves.

The Moroccan built momentum throughout the competition, defeating world No. 1 Leonardo Fioravanti and João Chianca to reach the quarterfinals.

He then delivered a standout performance in the quarterfinals, producing one of the best heats of his career to secure his place in the final four.

The result marked a major milestone for Boukhiam and strengthened his reputation as a dangerous competitor at Teahupo’o.

His semifinal run ultimately brought his campaign to an end, denying him a place in the Final and his first-ever Championship Tour victory.

Still, reaching the final four represents a major result for the Moroccan surfer and gives him valuable confidence heading into the next stage of the season.
