Casablanca – Morocco international Zakaria Aboukhlal could be on the move this summer, with Torino and Elche discussing a potential deal for the winger.
According to Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the two clubs are working on a possible loan agreement with an option to buy, which would also include a percentage for Torino from any future resale of the player.
Aboukhlal, 26, remains under contract with Torino until June 2029. He made 15 appearances for the Italian side last season as he continued his adaptation to Serie A.
The Moroccan was also involved in Torino’s latest competitive fixture, with coach Marco Baroni giving him 22 minutes during the Coppa Italia victory over Carrarese.
A move to Elche would offer Aboukhlal the opportunity to seek more consistent playing time while continuing his career in Spain.
Aboukhlal began his senior career in the Netherlands after progressing through the youth systems of Willem II and PSV Eindhoven before joining AZ Alkmaar.
He later moved to Toulouse, where he made 83 appearances and scored 25 goals across three seasons, while also winning the Coupe de France in 2023.
At the international level, Aboukhlal represented the Netherlands at youth level before choosing Morocco. He has since earned 22 caps and scored three goals for the Atlas Lions.
The discussions between Torino and Elche remain ongoing, with the structure of a potential transfer still being worked out.
