Casablanca – Neil El Aynaoui and Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal have emerged as transfer targets for Crystal Palace as the Premier League club looks to strengthen its squad before the summer transfer window closes.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Palace are targeting AS Roma midfielder El Aynaoui and Rennes defender Ait Boudlal as potential additions to Pierre Sage’s squad.
The interest comes after Palace endured a difficult start to the Premier League season under their new manager, losing 2-0 away to Everton in Sage’s first league match in charge.
The result has reportedly increased the club’s urgency to reinforce the squad, particularly in midfield and central defence.
Ait Boudlal has emerged as a potential option at the heart of the defence.
The young Moroccan defender developed at the Mohammed VI Football Academy before moving to Rennes, where he has continued his progression in French football.
El Aynaoui could provide an additional option in midfield. The Moroccan international joined Roma from Lens in 2025 after impressing during his time in France.
Foot Mercato reports that both players are receptive to Palace’s interest and are particularly attracted by the prospect of moving to England and joining the club’s Premier League project.
The French outlet did not disclose the potential fees involved, meaning Palace would still need to reach agreements with Roma and Rennes for either transfer to move forward.
