The Moroccan Union of Professional Footballers (UMFP) has launched an initiative aimed at supporting professional female footballers currently without clubs, giving them an opportunity to maintain their competitive level and increase their visibility while the summer transfer window remains open.

Rabat – The Moroccan Union of Professional Footballers (UMFP) has launched an initiative aimed at supporting professional female footballers currently without clubs, giving them an opportunity to maintain their competitive level and increase their visibility while the summer transfer window remains open.

The week-long training camp, held in Casablanca, is being presented as a pioneering initiative worldwide. It combines physical and technical training, preparation matches, and professional support to help players remain ready for new opportunities.

The camp began on August 22 with a meeting focused on communication, motivation, and exchanges, followed by an evening training session. Since then, the players have continued with regular physical and technical sessions designed to maintain their fitness and match readiness.

Preparation matches

The program also includes two preparation matches. The first is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, against Raja Club Athletic, while the second will take place on Friday, August 28, against ANAFFF, marking the official conclusion of the camp.

The initiative comes at an important moment for players who are still searching for clubs. Being without a contract can make it difficult for professional footballers to maintain their competitive rhythm, particularly during the transfer period.

By providing regular training and match opportunities, the UMFP is helping these players stay physically prepared while creating an environment where they can rebuild confidence, strengthen their resilience, and potentially attract the attention of clubs looking for reinforcements.

Beyond the sporting aspect, the camp also sends a strong message of solidarity. It reminds professional female footballers without contracts that they remain part of the professional football community and that their careers can continue to progress despite being temporarily without a club.

With the summer transfer window still open, the UMFP’s initiative could give participating players an important platform to showcase their abilities and seize new opportunities for the upcoming season.
