Rabat – Moroccan international Ayoub Bouaddi has expressed his determination to earn more playing time at Manchester City following the club’s 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town today in the seventh round of the English Premier League.
Speaking to reporters after the match, the young midfielder shared his satisfaction with the result while acknowledging the difficulties his team faced against a determined Ipswich side.
“It was a very good game, and I’m really happy because we won,” Bouaddi expressed.
“It was a difficult match against a good team like Ipswich Town. They put us under pressure during the second half, but we managed to win, and we’re very happy about that,” he added.
Bouaddi wants more playing time
The Moroccan midfielder also discussed his excitement at being included in Manchester City’s starting lineup, emphasizing his passion for football and his ambition to become a regular player.
“Of course, I was really happy. I love football and I want to play every game, but I know it’s part of the development process, so I was very happy with what we achieved today,” he explained.
His comments reflect his determination to establish himself at Manchester City while recognizing that earning a regular starting position requires patience and continued improvement.
Despite his desire to feature in every match, Bouaddi acknowledged that adapting to the demands of top-level football remains an important part of his development.
The midfielder also spoke about the pressure Manchester City faced during the second half, when Ipswich Town pushed forward in search of another goal.
“Of course, you feel some pressure because you don’t want the opposition to score another goal, but we handled the situation very well, and we were happy with what we achieved,” he said.
Learning from Manchester City’s stars
Bouaddi also highlighted the importance of playing alongside experienced and talented teammates, explaining how their quality helps him develop his game.
“It becomes easier when you play alongside players of this level. Even when you make a bad pass sometimes, they can deal with the situation and correct things,” he said.
“They make everything work, so playing alongside players like that is a great honor,” the Moroccan international added.
For Bouaddi, the opportunity to train and compete alongside some of the Premier League’s leading players represents an important step in his young career.
His latest appearance also offers him another opportunity to demonstrate his abilities and strengthen his case for more regular involvement in Manchester City’s upcoming matches.
The 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town gives Manchester City three valuable points in the Premier League, while Bouaddi will hope to build on his performance and continue earning the trust of the coaching staff.
As the season progresses, the Moroccan midfielder will look to turn his opportunities into consistent playing time and establish a stronger presence in the team’s midfield.
