Rabat – Real Madrid have extended the England international Jude Bellingham’ contract until 2031, adding two years to his previous deal.
According to AS, the agreement also includes improved financial terms for the England international, reflecting his growing importance to the Spanish club.
Bellingham initially joined Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023 on a contract running until 2029. His new deal would keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu for the next several years as the club continues to build its squad around key players.
According to AS, negotiations began toward the end of last season, with both sides reaching an agreement without major difficulties.
Bellingham made an immediate impact during his first season with Real Madrid, helping the club win both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League in 2024. His goals, movement and ability to contribute in different areas of the pitch made him one of the team’s most influential players.
The English midfielder has also developed into an important figure within the dressing room, with the club viewing him as part of its leadership group for the future.
Bellingham’s time in Madrid has not been without physical challenges. The midfielder previously delayed shoulder surgery to remain available for the team during important periods. The injury affected his performances at times, but he has since worked to overcome the problem and return to his best level.
The reported extension would give both player and club greater long-term certainty as Real Madrid pursue further domestic and European success.
However, the renewal has been reported by Spanish media, and an official announcement from Real Madrid would be needed to confirm the agreement.
