Agadir – SIST (Associate College of Cardiff Metropolitan University in Morocco) celebrated its Class of 2026 graduates on Saturday at the Zenith Center in Rabat, bringing together students, families, educators, and representatives of the British-Moroccan education sector.
The ceremony marked the end of an academic chapter for students who completed their studies through SIST, which partners with Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales to provide British higher education in Morocco.
British Ambassador to Morocco Alex Pinfield attended the event and praised the graduates’ potential, expressing confidence in their future contributions to the country.
“The students I saw today are going to go on to great things here in Morocco,” Pinfield told Morocco World News (MWN).

The ambassador also highlighted the partnership between Cardiff Metropolitan University and SIST, which gives Moroccan students access to English-language higher education while connecting British and Moroccan educational and cultural experiences.
“It’s part of the great collaboration between the British University and a Moroccan education group providing a British-style education in the English language here in Morocco. It brings together our languages and our cultural identities,” the ambassador said.
Education for All Morocco celebrates alumni
The ceremony also held special significance for Education for All Morocco, an organization that supports girls facing barriers to education.
Samira El Hachioui, the organization’s managing director, attended the event as two of its alumni graduated from SIST.
“For an organization that provides access to disadvantaged and marginalized girls in Morocco, to have alumni graduating from such an esteemed university … is just the ultimate dream,” El Hachioui told MWN.

The graduation of the two alumni marked an important milestone for the organization, demonstrating how access to educational opportunities can help students continue their studies and work toward their professional goals.
SIST’s partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University forms part of its provision of British-style higher education in Morocco, with programs taught in English at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including MBA studies.
