Rabat – Morocco’s national futsal team secured a place in the final of the 2026 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after defeating Egypt 6-0 today at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Hall in Rabat.
The win sends the Atlas Lions into another continental final as they seek to defend their title and extend their dominance of African futsal.
Under head coach Hicham Dguig, Morocco have maintained an impressive record throughout the competition, combining a strong attacking performance with an unbeaten defensive record.
Monday’s result marked Morocco’s fourth consecutive victory without conceding a goal, bringing their tournament tally to 23 goals scored.

Morocco to face Angola in Wednesday’s final
Morocco will face Angola in the final on Wednesday, October 21, at 8 p.m. local time at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Hall in Rabat.
Angola secured their place in the final earlier on Monday after completing a dramatic comeback against Algeria.
Trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Angolans scored three unanswered goals in the second half to claim a 3-2 victory and eliminate the tournament debutants.
The Atlas Lions will now look to secure their fourth consecutive African futsal title, having previously won the competition in 2016, 2020 and 2024.
Another triumph would further extend Morocco’s successful run in the competition and add another continental trophy to the country’s futsal achievements.
