Rabat – In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of his accession to the throne, King Mohammed VI will deliver a speech to the nation on Monday night.

The address will be broadcast on national radio and television starting 9 p.m. local time, according to the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery.

As part of the Throne Day celebrations, the monarch will hold a reception ceremony on Tuesday afternoon in the M’diq province in northern Morocco.

On Wednesday, the monarch will chair an oath-taking ceremony of officers and new graduates of military, paramilitary, and civil schools in Tetouan, the ministry added.

The Throne Day is celebrated on July 30 of each year. Celebrations commemorating the holiday take place across the country’s various regions, including military parades.

The Royal Armed Forces of Morocco announced last week a series of air shows and parachute demonstrations in celebration of the Throne Day anniversary.

The air shows are scheduled to take place along the M’diq coastline on July 30 and at the Martil Corniche on July 31.

Both events will begin at 6:00 p.m., featuring the renowned Green March squadron of the Royal Air Force. The squadron is set to perform a series of aerial maneuvers.

In addition to the air shows, parachute demonstrations are planned at Marina Bou Regreg River in Sale on July 30.

Several foreign officials and media outlets have highlighted Morocco’s progress under King Mohammed VI’s reign.

Last week, El Pais underlined the significant transformations that Morocco has undergone under King Mohammed VI’s leadership, noting the country’s modernization of infrastructure and diplomatic expansion.

“The transformation in 25 years is evident. The country is another country… the condition of women, cultural modernity,” El Pais wrote.
