FRMF Announces Bouchaib Lahrach as President of Central Arbitration Commission

Today, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) Bouchaib Lahrach's appointment as the new President of the Central Arbitration Commission (CCA).

Rabat -Today, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) Bouchaib Lahrach’s appointment as the new President of the Central Arbitration Commission (CCA).

The FRMF oversees football activities in Morocco. It was founded in 1956 and joined both FIFA and CAF in 1960.

This change is part of recent significant reforms undertaken by the FRMF in the management of Moroccan football refereeing.

Another change made as part of the reforms by the FRMF is the appointment of former Moroccan referee Redouane Jiyed as the Director of the National Refereeing Department (DNA) following his retirement.

During AFCON 2023, Jiyed was selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to referee the ranking match between South Africa and DR Congo, alongside other assignments.

Notably, Redouane Jiyed was honored on July 1 following his final refereeing assignment during the Throne Cup final, where Raja defeated AS FAR (2-1) at the Grand Stade d’Adrar in Agadir.

In previous years, Sliman Brahmi served as the president of the CCA and was also a member of the DNA, directed by Yahya Hadqa.

Morocco has ramped up its preparations in various sporting sectors in anticipation of hosting the AFCON 2025 and the World Cup 2023.

Recognizing the critical role of refereeing in ensuring fair play and upholding the integrity of competitions, the FRMF has expressed its dedication to implement these new reforms.
