Rabat – French Tech Casablanca announced today the election of William Simoncelli as its president for the next three years.
Simoncelli’s term runs from January of this year to December 2027, the group added, noting that the appointment is part of a “dynamic continuity and innovation in support of the Moroccan tech ecosystem.”
The French Tech Morocco has been certified since 2017, to contribute to Morocco’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
“Under this new presidency, the association will continue its flagship actions, such as French Tech Days, startup support programs, and collaborations with major schools and incubators,” the statement said.
Simoncelli, an entrepreneur and expert in tech innovation applied to real estate, will succeed Jerome Mouthon, the former president and co-founder of the group.
Simoncelli is a graduate of ICH Rabat and has been the co-founder of GIE Statimno Morocco in 2024, which is in charge of structuring real estate data for businesses.
He also contributed to the creation of the Moroccan Association of Real Estate Exports.
In 2017, he co-founded French Tech Morocco, committing to innovation and the structuring of digital ecosystems.
“He is committed to accelerating the integration of new technologies within the Moroccan tech ecosystem,” the statement said, noting that his team is keen to focus on strengthening commissions.
His commitment also focuses on providing entrepreneurs, startups, and investors with tools to help on their empowerment.
Simoncelli’s term will also mark the launch of the Cybertech Commission, an initiative that seeks to address the growing need for cybersecurity and the protection of digital infrastructures.
Jeremy Dubourg, a member of the group, will lead the commission.
Several other commissions will be created under his term in different fields, including Edtech, and AI, among others.
