Rabat — Casablanca will welcome the world’s top poultry industry leaders next week as the city hosts the Annual International Poultry Council (IPC) Meeting from April 7-10, 2025.

The event, organized in partnership with Morocco’s Interprofessional Federation of the Poultry Sector (FISA), brings together key players to tackle major issues affecting the global poultry industry.

The four-day gathering aims to strengthen international cooperation and exchange best practices in production, trade, and regulation. Participants will engage in general IPC sessions, presentations, and technical workshops led by prominent international experts.

Organizers will arrange field visits to local poultry production facilities, giving attendees first-hand exposure to Morocco’s latest innovations and technologies in the field. The event is poised to create valuable networking opportunities for industry professionals to build partnerships.

Government officials, CEOs from major global companies, and experts will join representatives from FISA, the country’s authoritative body for regulating and developing the poultry sector.

Minister of Agriculture Ahmed El Bouari will deliver the opening address, outlining the sector’s prospects both in Morocco and internationally.

The International Poultry Council represents more than 88% of global poultry meat production and 95% of international trade in this sector.

The organization plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable, science-based solutions to improve production systems, ensure food security, and enhance dialogue between producers and regulatory bodies.

The IPC maintains strategic partnerships with several international organizations, including the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH).

This high-profile event elevates Morocco’s growing importance in the global poultry industry and creates a platform for addressing challenges and opportunities facing the sector worldwide.

The country’s poultry market size in 2025 is estimated at $5.08 billion, according to a study by Mordor Intelligence. The study projects the size will reach $6.19 billion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.03%.

The study describes Morocco as “one of the prominent poultry-producing nations in Africa,” yet reveals that there is a growing demand that has led to increased poultry-related goods production.
