Rabat – A formidable challenge and adventure await Morocco’s Atlas Lions tonight as they face South Africa in the round of 16.

For many predicting websites, Morocco is a winner tonight.

According to predictions from the sport prediction platform Opta Analyst, the Moroccan national football team has a 56.1% chance to win today’s game against South Africa, as part of the Africa Cup of Nations being held in Cote d’Ivoire.

On the other hand, the Bafana Bafana team received 22.2% of a winning rate, while 21.7% went to extra time and most probably penalties.

When accounting for the possibility that the match will extend beyond 90 minutes, Morocco has an overall 67.8% chance of moving to the quarter-finals, according to the platform’s supercomputer.

Morocco has scored in all 12 of their previous AFCON games, which is their longest scoring streak in the competition.

The winner of today’s match will play against Cape Verde in the quarterfinals.

The Atlas Lions qualified from Group F, leading the group with seven points which they harnessed from two wins over Tanzania 3-0 and Zambia 1-0, and a draw with DR Congo 1-1.

Their latest participation in AFCON saw the squad reach the quarter-finals but was defeated by Egypt 1-2.
