Real Betis are reportedly keen to sign Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on a permanent deal following his impressive start to life in Spain.
According to Spanish outlet El Desmarque, Betis officials are very satisfied with the 29-year-old’s performances and want to keep him beyond his loan spell from Fenerbahçe, which ends this summer.

Amrabat joined the Andalusian club on loan during the last transfer window and quickly established himself as a key figure under coach Manuel Pellegrini. His presence in midfield has helped stabilise the team, contributing to three consecutive La Liga wins that revived Betis’ campaign.
Reports praised the Moroccan international for his fitness, aggression, and consistency, describing him as one of the side’s most reliable performers.
Although the loan deal does not include a purchase option – with Fenerbahçe still covering two-thirds of his wages – Betis are said to be preparing to negotiate a permanent move using a strategy similar to the one employed to sign Antony.
Pellegrini is understood to be eager to keep Amrabat, who has become an integral part of his system. The midfielder’s loan expires at the end of the season, while his contract with Fenerbahçe runs until 2028.
Amrabat, capped 68 times by Morocco, appears set to be at the centre of transfer talks between the two clubs next summer.
