Rabat – On the fourth day of GITEX Global 2025, the Abu Dhabi and Dubai governments reaffirmed their leadership in digital transformation, and unveiled new initiatives that redefine citizen services, urban mobility, and cross-sector collaboration through AI and smart technology.

At the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion, led by the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE), more than 30 entities participated under the theme AI-Native by Design, Community-Driven by Purpose.

The display illustrated how the emirate is building an AI-native governance model that merges efficiency, empathy, and community responsiveness.

At the heart of the showcase was Marriage Contracts on TAMM, a fully digital service allowing couples to complete every step of the marriage process — from booking appointments and virtual ceremonies to electronic marriage booklets — directly from their smartphones.

TAMM also introduced Take a Photo & Report, allowing citizens to report local problems in real-time. New integrations with the Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) and Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) have the potential to simplify community and judicial interactions.

The Family Care Authority (FCA) platform, meanwhile, gives families faster access to support services, highlighting how technology can make public administration more human and accessible.

AI for smarter cities and businesses

Abu Dhabi innovations in urban management continued with QMobility’s Zero Barrier AI Parking, a contactless parking system that eliminates physical barriers and tickets through real-time license plate detection and integration with the DARB wallet.

The system demonstrates how AI can reduce urban friction and improve the daily flow of urban life and infrastructure.

For the private sector, the Khalifa Fund – Enterprise Journey platform was introduced as a one-stop shop of finance, mentorship, and AI-powered business intelligence to empower SMEs to streamline processes and grow efficiently.

The DGE announced several key partnerships, including agreements between the Department of Community Development and Core42, the Department of Health and Data Bricks’ Agentic platform, and a partnership between TAMM and Etihad Airways to enhance service reachability. The Khalifa Fund also inked new partnerships with the UAE Cyber Security Council, TAHALUF, and REACH to advance cybersecurity and digital readiness for the SME sector.

Parkin and InsuranceMarket.ae forge strategic alliance

Complementing Abu Dhabi’s AI push, Dubai’s leading parking operator Parkin PJSC announced a strategic memorandum of understanding with InsuranceMarket.ae, the UAE’s largest online insurance platform.

Signed during GITEX Global 2025, the agreement marks a pivotal step toward developing integrated mobility and insurance solutions across Dubai.

Through this partnership, Parkin intends to expand its digital ecosystem by bringing parking, valet, and insurance services together in one integrated platform.

“This partnership represents a key milestone in redefining parking as a sustainable, user-centered service,” said Eng. Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin.

Avinash Babur, Founder and CEO of InsuranceMarket.ae, added that the partnership “puts customers at the center by combining mobility and insurance into one digital experience, simplifying daily journeys while supporting Dubai’s ambition for smarter and more connected living.”

Parkin currently manages around 212,000 parking spaces across Dubai under a 49-year exclusive concession with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and handled 70 million parking transactions in the first half of 2025.

As GITEX Global 2025 closes its doors, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are getting a glimpse of the UAE’s digitally empowered vision of the future through collaboration and innovation.

From AI-led governance to smart city mobility, these initiatives are showcasing how technology can transform public services into interconnected, intuitive, and green experiences for citizens and residents alike.
