Rabat— Nothing compares to Rabat’s streets brimming with joy and cheers welcoming home Morocco’s U20 World Cup champions tonight.
While parading through the capital on an open-top bus, the Atlas Cubs waved back to people of different ages and backgrounds, all coming together to express congratulations to the Moroccan heroes.
Following a royal reception at the Royal Palace hosted by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, the champions got on a bus to make their way and meet the people who supported them from behind the screens as they were making history in Chile.
The bus carried the Atlas Cubs along Avenue Mohammed V and then wrapping around the city into Sale, passing thousands of supporters packed in the streets to celebrate their historic victory.

The crowd waved Moroccan flags and chanted in unison, offering a warm and emotional welcome to the team that made history on the world stage.
Morocco World News (MWN) went down to the streets to listen to how people feel about the triumph.
As fans waited patiently to cheer on the Atlas Cubs, one fan, Abdelhak, expressed his joy for this “great day for the youth of our national team who brought home the [U20] World Cup.”
He talked with pride about the young team, whose perseverance led them to an achievement that was not easy, beating up the “strongest teams from Latin America, Europe, and Asia.”
Moroccan fans celebrated today the first international cup ever in all categories, whether youth or senior teams.

Another fan told MWN that the “Moroccan people are extremely happy about this historic achievement,” thanking King Mohammed VI for boosting football in the country. “Dima Maghrib, (Morocco Forever),” she concluded.
Jubilant that Morocco’s U20 team made history, fans wished them even more success in the future.
The dedication of Moroccan fans has no borders, as was evidenced by Ayman, who came from France this morning to celebrate the epic and historic achievement. The fan expressed pride and joy for this win, wishing for the Atlas Lions to “win the AFCON in December and be internationally famous.”
As Rabat closes on a celebration to remember, one thing is apparent for Moroccan fans both at home and abroad – Morocco’s football future roars loudly and bright.
