Agadir – The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) in collaboration with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), has officially launched the digital entrepreneurial mentoring platform “Mentoring MeM”.
The initiative seeks to connect German as well as international business leaders with emerging entrepreneurs, with a special focus on the Moroccan diaspora of high-potential professionals and founders.
The platform launch marks the next phase in the strategic partnership between CGEM and German political foundation KAS. It represents a significant step in structuring and positioning entrepreneurial mentorship in Morocco according to international standards.
Mentoring MeM is designed to position mentorship as a tool for knowledge transfer, skills development, and economic value creation, by facilitating high-quality connections between mentors and mentees.
“Mentorship is a strategic lever for knowledge transfer and economic value creation, contributing to the competitiveness of MeM-driven enterprises in Morocco,” said Karim Amor, the President of MeM by CGEM, in a press statement.
This initiative aligns with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s commitment to promoting the social market economy, strengthening entrepreneurial capacities, and fostering Moroccan-German economic cooperation.
The platform leverages the CGEM’s extensive entrepreneurial network and aims to generate practical synergies between Moroccan entrepreneurs and the MeM community, promoting investment and expertise sharing.
The platform follows a circular mentorship model, whereby each entrepreneur commits to passing on their experience in turn, fostering a culture of trust, engagement, and co-creation.
Surrounding the launch, Amor further explained “mentoring MeM embodies CGEM’s strong vision: mobilizing the intelligence, experience, and commitment of the MeM community to serve Morocco’s economic development.”
“Through this initiative, CGEM leverages its network, regional presence via CGEM regions, and sectoral federations to support the economic activities of MeM within this environment,” he added.
For his part, Steven Höfner, resident representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, reaffirmed his organization’s support for the venture.
Höfner described mentorship as a central mechanism for sustainable growth, underlining KAS’s belief that shared expertise and responsibility are essential ingredients for thriving business ecosystems.
In a statement shared to Morocco World News (MWN), Steven Höfner stressed that “through this partnership, we are working to build bridges between different areas of expertise, including within the Moroccan diaspora, and to provide structured and ambitious support for business creation and development projects.”
“By supporting these initiatives, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation contributes to strengthening value creation, internationalization, and Morocco’s economic influence,” he said.
