Both teams arrive at Anfield with different momentum. Liverpool are under pressure despite only trailing narrowly, and Galatasaray come into this second leg full of confidence after their first-leg win. The Turkish side hold a 1–0 advantage from Istanbul, thanks to a goal from Mario Lemina, leaving the tie finely balanced ahead of kickoff.

Liverpool have to overturn the deficit but also respond to inconsistent form and rising frustration around the team. Galatasaray, meanwhile, can rely on their organization and recent success, knowing that one goal at Anfield could put them in control of the tie.

How & Where to Watch

The match will be broadcast on beIN Sports, Canal+, and TNT Sports.

Liverpool Team News

Liverpool are dealing with many absences ahead of this match. Alexander Isak, Conor Bradley, Wataru Endo, and Giovanni Leoni are all ruled out, and Joe Gomez remains a doubt after picking up a physical issue in the match against Tottenham.

There is positive news, however, as Ibrahima Konaté has returned to full fitness and is expected to start in central defense. Alisson Becker should also return in goal after missing the first leg.

Liverpool will rely heavily on their attacking quality, with Mohamed Salah expected to lead the charge and provide the cutting edge needed to overturn the deficit.

Speaking about this match means, manager Arne Slot said, “ Having worked so hard to reach this stage of the competition, we want — and need — to continue our journey, particularly after falling short in our attempt to qualify for the quarter-finals last season.

“This is not our only motivation, although it is clearly a big enough one in itself.

“We owe this to ourselves and to our supporters and this, in my view, is as big a motivation as ever.”

Liverpool’s expected XI (4–2–3–1): Alisson; Frimpong, Konaté, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Wirtz; Ekitiké.

Galatasaray Team News

Galatasaray arrive with confidence but have an important defensive absence. Davinson Sánchez is suspended, and Enes Büyük is sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Despite this, the Turkish side remain dangerous going forward. Victor Osimhen will be the main attacking threat and could prove decisive on the counter.

Galatasaray’s expected XI (4–2–3–1): Güvenç; Sallai, Singo, Bardakcı, Jakobs; Torreira, Lemina; Yılmaz, Gabriel Sara, Lang; Osimhen.

The hosts must find a breakthrough to keep their European hopes alive. Anfield’s atmosphere and Liverpool’s attacking quality could make the difference, but Galatasaray’s organization ensures this will be a tight battle.

  • Score Prediction: Liverpool 2–1 Galatasaray (Liverpool qualify)
