Rabat – King Mohammed VI has sent a message of congratulations to Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election as President of Turkiye. 

The Moroccan Sovereign extended his best wishes for continued success in leading the Turkish people toward “greater progress and prosperity.”

In his message, King Mohammed VI also commended President Erdogan on the renewed confidence bestowed upon him by the Turkish people.

The King expressed his satisfaction at the robust and fruitful cooperative relations that exist between the two countries, emphasizing the shared determination to strengthen and promote them across various sectors.

The sovereign equally reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with President Erdogan to reinforce the relations between Morocco and Turkiye. 

King Mohammed VI highlighted the immense potential of the ties in meeting the aspirations of both nations and contributing to the strengthening of solidarity among the peoples of the Islamic Ummah.

The ties between Morocco and Turkiye have fostered cooperation in various fields, including politics, trade, culture, and tourism. Both countries have consistently voiced a desire to advance common interests and work together toward regional stability and prosperity.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan has emerged victorious in Turkey’s presidential election, securing a third term by defeating his opponent Kemal Kilicdaroglu in the runoff vote held on Sunday.

According to preliminary official results announced by Turkey’s Supreme Election Council (YSK), with 99.43% of the votes counted, Erdogan had secured over 52% of the votes, while Kilicdaroglu received nearly 48%. These results confirm Erdogan’s win in the election.
