Agadir – Morocco is expected to experience hot weather in southern provinces and the Souss region on Sunday, while thunderstorms are expected in several mountainous and eastern areas, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).

Temperatures will remain relatively high in the interior plains, with the eastern and central regions expected to become warmer.

The relatively stable and warm conditions in these areas contrast with the weather in other parts of the country, where rainfall and flooding have affected several regions in recent days.

Morning and nighttime low clouds are expected to form along the central coast, with fog likely to develop in some areas.

The DGM also forecasts dense cloud cover in the morning over the Rif, Saiss, Oulmes, and the northwestern plains. These areas could see isolated thunderstorms.

Unstable clouds will develop over the High Atlas and Middle Atlas, as well as neighboring areas, the Rif, the eastern region, and the Sahara provinces.

The forecast shows significant differences in weather conditions across the country, with some regions continuing to experience unstable weather while others record warmer and more stable conditions.

Moderate to fairly strong wind gusts are also expected over the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara provinces. The winds could cause localized dust to blow in some areas, potentially reducing visibility.

Minimum temperatures will range between 7°C and 12°C in the Atlas and Rif mountains.

The Sahara provinces and the Souss region will record the highest minimum temperatures, ranging between 24°C and 30°C.

Temperatures will range from 14°C to 20°C in the eastern region and areas near the coast. Other parts of the country will see minimum temperatures between 20°C and 24°C.

Temperatures are expected to rise in the eastern and central regions, while they will fall or remain stable in the rest of the country.

Marine conditions will remain slightly rough in the Mediterranean and along the Strait of Gibraltar. The Atlantic coast will see slightly rough to rough seas.
