Rabat – The Cameroonian football national team is set to lock horns with Switzerland as part of the Qatar World Cup’s group stage.
The game will kick off today at 11:00 Moroccan time at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al-Wakrah, Qatar. The match will be broadcasted on BeIN Sports channels, as well as streaming website fuboTV.
The clash will mark Group G’s opening game at the Global tournament, an opportunity for the two teams to strongly position themselves at the group stage and secure their ticket for the knockout stage.
The global event marks the participation of 32 national teams, but the knockout stage, or the round of 16, will see the qualification of only 16 teams.
Cameroon has qualified for the World Cup a total of eight times, with their best performance being in 1990 when they qualified for the quarter-finals. However, the African squad did not qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Meanwhile, the Swiss team has appeared in the World Cup on 11 occasions, including the Russia World Cup where they reached the round of 16.
According to Opta Analyst predictions, Switzerland will be “fancied to seal victory in this first game against Cameroon,” explaining that the European squad has a 56.5% chance of winning the match.
Following today’s game, the African team is set to face Serbia on November 28 and Brazil on December 2. Meanwhile, Switzerland will lock horns with Brazil on November 28 and Serbia on December 2.
