Rabat – The Moroccan Ministry of Health is organizing workshops under the theme “Together for School Health,” to celebrate the National School Health Week, the ministry said in a press release on Monday.
The ministry of health is cooperating with several ministries to celebrate this event, including the Ministries of Education, Sports, Interior, and Culture and Communication.
This event seeks to develop and raise awareness among students about the importance of physical activity, dental health, as well as the need to preserve health in relation to the environment.
The Ministry of Health said that there will be a number of activities and workshops throughout the week across Morocco, for the benefit of students in schools, as well as in culture and health centers.

Another goal is to organize medical caravans to diagnose and treat dental related diseases among students in primary schools, the ministry noted.
Morocco’s ministry of health celebrated the World Immunization Week by organizing the national vaccination week from April 25 to April 30. This event was held to “highlight the collective action needed and to promote the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against disease,” the World Health Organization (WHO) said last month.
Khaled Ait Taleb, Morocco’s Minister of Health and Social Protection, announced in April that more than $604 million (MAD6 billion) have been allotted to reform and strengthen the country’s health sector.
The restoration of medical facilities, as well as renewal and modernization of biomedical equipment and maintenance services, are among the reforms.
