Rabat – The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) arrested on Saturday a Moroccan holder of French nationality suspected of implication in extremists and criminal activities in France.
A statement by the BCIJ said that thorough investigations revealed that the suspect entered the national territory illegally after his involvement in the escape of an inmate from a prison in France, in addition, he had ties with fighters of terrorist groups on the Syrian-Iraqi scene.

The investigation also showed that the suspect engaged in the trafficking and marketing of products of questionable origin, in coordination with criminal networks operating abroad, the statement added.
The investigation is underway under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office before bringing the suspect to justice, the source said.
