Rabat – As part of partnership between the US and Morocco’s governments, almost 400,000 US dollars were allocated for the implementation of a program for 15 Moroccan enterprises specializing in sectors including textiles and food production to improve their productivity.
“It’s an innovative project aiming at strengthening sustainable development for Moroccan companies. The project will help them reduce their water and energy consumption and minimize their waste and raw materials use,” said Mohammed Reda Tagmouti of RIO, a company specializing in energy efficiency and sustainable development.
The two-year program has contributed to the reduction of 10 to 15 percent of water resources, electricity, CO2 emissions, and combustible fuel, according to the same source.
A partnership agreement was concluded between the parties to include 15 students from Ecole Mohammadia D’Ingénieur. This program aims to enhance the culture of environmental protection for young people.
